Data We Collect
When you create a Clavara account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication details through Supabase, our authentication provider. When you practice, we collect the MIDI performance data your device sends us — notes played, timing, and dynamics — along with the scores and diagnostics we compute from it. We also collect basic product usage events (such as which pages you visit, which exercises you start, and when a session or the daily piece is completed) so we can understand how Clavara is used and improve it.
How We Use Your Data
We use your practice data to compute your scores, track your progress across skill nodes, and recommend exercises. We use product usage events to understand feature adoption and fix problems. We do not sell your data.
Third-Party Processors
We share data with two processors who help us run Clavara:
- Supabase — handles account authentication and stores your login credentials.
- Mixpanel — receives product analytics events (for example, account creation, practice session completions, daily piece completions, game plays, and payment events) tied to your account ID, sent both from your browser and from our backend, so we can measure and improve the product.
Data Retention
We retain your account and practice data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within a reasonable time, except where we are required to retain records for legal or security reasons.
Your Rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at support@clavaramusic.com.
